Welcome to the Southeast branch of Hedge Funds Care!

Hedge Funds Care Southeast was founded in 2004 by James (Jay) Martin, who also serves as the co-chair of the Southeast Committee of Hearts with Michael Cross of BDO. The funds that have been raised through the support of the Southeast Hedge Fund community over the years have enabled the Southeast branch to provide support for innovative community-based nonprofits that serve abused and neglected children in metro Atlanta.

On November 9, 2011, the Hedge Funds Care Southeast Committee of Hearts presented the Annual Open Your Heart to the Children Benefit at the famous Fox Theatre in Atlanta, GA to resounding success. The Award for Caring was awarded to John Mauldin, President of Millennium Wave Investments, renowed financial expert and multiple New York Times best-selling author. The event raised over $100,000 for the prevention and treatment of child abuse.

Most recently, the Committee of Hearts hosted the Inaugural Hedge Funds Care Spring Social at the SweetWater Brewing Company on May 1st. Over 100 individuals attended for a relaxed evening of micro-brews and tasty treats including a tour of the production facilities.

To date, Hedge Funds Care Southeast has distributed over $440,000 through 21 grants. With the continued generous support of the local Hedge Fund community, we look forward to continuing to raise funds that will aid our community partners in the fight against child abuse and neglect.
