HFC Midwest Distributes Almost $600,000 in 2008 to the Prevention and Treatment of Child Abuse

HFC Southwest held 3 events in 2008. The award-winning 6th Annual Chicago Open Your Heart to the Children benefit was held on May 15, 2008 in Millenium Park. Over 400 guests were in attendance to enjoy an evening of cocktails, dinner, a raffle, silent auction and live auctions, and live music. The Committee of Hope held its annual Poker Tournament at Joe's Pub on June 26, 2008, which was attended by over 300 guests. Also, the Twin Cities Committee held a small cocktail party on December 4, 2008.

Thanks to these successful events and a number of personal contributions, the 2008 Midwest Branch distributed over almost $600,000 in 2008 in grants to community-based nonprofit organizations in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, and Wisconsin.
